YP Summit is the largest young professionals’ conference in the country—and it’s happening right here in Omaha. This year’s conference will bring together 1,500+ young professionals for a day of education, inspiration and connection. You can expect compelling keynote speakers, thought-provoking breakout sessions and specially designed opportunities to engage with fellow young professionals.

Registration guidance:
By Thursday, March 13, 2025, all attendees must be registered using their own primary email address. This is to ensure each individual receives access to the virtual event platform and/or mobile event app and all conference communications.
Reservations are due by Thursday, March 13, 2025. No refunds or cancellations will be granted after this date.

The Greater Omaha Chamber appreciates your interest in applying for a scholarship to the 2025 YP Summit. Scholarships are available to any emerging leader interested in fostering their professional and personal development and cultivating community growth, but need a little help getting there.
Each scholarship will cover $200 of the applicant’s registration fee for a Single Ticket. The applicant is responsible for the remaining $50 to attend.
Change Maker Awards
Each year, we honor individuals making positive, innovative and powerful change in our community and beyond. Change Makers are thought leaders and doers who are impacting the world through social, corporate, or philanthropic change.
This year, we will be recognizing individuals in the following five categories:
- Civic Engagement Champion: An individual actively involved with the Greater Omaha community through volunteerism or civil service.
Individuals who are currently serving, are an advocate or supporter or have previously served are eligible for this award. Individuals who are currently campaigning are not eligible. - DEIA Champion: An advocate or ally working to change the status quo to move Omaha forward to be more inclusive for all.
- Educator: An education professional (teacher, counselor or administrator) who is making an impact on the next generation of emerging leaders.
- Entrepreneur: An individual blazing their career path by running their own company.
- Nonprofit Professional: An individual who positively impacts the Greater Omaha area through their professional career in the nonprofit sector.
Who Should Apply?
A Change Maker is someone aged 18-40, in the Greater Omaha-area.
Restrictions
- A past recipient of the award.
- Those serving in public office and/or running for public office.
- Current employees of the Greater Omaha Chamber.
- Current volunteers of the Greater Omaha Chamber Young Professionals Leadership Committee and 2024 YP Summit Planning Committee members.
Recognition
Change Maker Award honorees will be recognized during the event, interviews and publicity from local media, opportunity to share your story at the live event.

Todd Conkright, Todd Conkright Consulting
Todd Conkright is Principal Consultant at Todd Conkright Consulting. He is known for being a performance cultivator, helping small businesses and business owners to grow themselves and their organizations. With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in human performance improvement, change management, and talent development. Todd has successfully established HR functions from the ground up, led operational excellence reviews, and designed comprehensive onboarding programs across diverse industries. His expertise in employee relations, process improvement. and leadership development consistently drives organizational growth and efficiency. Todd holds advanced degrees in HR Management and Organizational Leadership and is certified in Six Sigma & Change Management.
Sondra Dubas, BeYOUtiful Tree Wellness
Sondra is an Integrative Wellness Coach, and the founder of Self-Care Bootcamp, a program of soul-guided self-care for busy professionals. After a successful career in corporate America, Sondra cofounded a nationally acclaimed charity organization for kids, has done mission work in Guatemala and Mexico, is an award-winning published author, and public speaker. She is an avid reader and personal growth enthusiast and has a unique ability to inspire audiences with relevant life stories of transformation and growth. As a speaker, Sondra has a presence that is calming, reassuring, relatable, intentional, motivational, passionate and INSPIRING.
Roger Garcia, BHECN
Roger was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Columbus, NE. Since moving to Omaha, he has extensively engaged in the community, co-founding the Metro Young Latino Professionals Association and serving on many nonprofit boards. For his involvement, Roger received the Ten Outstanding Young Omahans (TOYO) award. He has been working in the nonprofit sector for 20 years, previously serving as executive director of various nonprofit community centers and currently serves as Associate Director for BHECN. Roger also serves through elected office, previously serving on the Metro Community College Board of Governors and now serving as a County Commissioner.
Racquel Henderson, EPIC for Girls
Born and raised in North Omaha, Racquel is a dedicated leader and advocate for change through education, employment, and community resources. As the Director of Programs & Strategic Partnerships with EPIC for Girls, she empowers girls of color in sports. Racquel also serves as a Professor, guiding students in issues of race and criminal justice. A recipient of numerous awards, including the 2024 Women’s Center for Advancement Tribute to Women Award, and the 2023 ICAN Leadership Award. She is the Vice President and a founding Board Member of Identity Preparatory Academy, a minority girls middle school focused on identity and leadership. Racquel is a proud mother of two and passionately committed to uplifting her community.
Carol Horner, Synchronicity
Carol Horner founded Synchronicity, Inc, in 1999. She works with companies and organizations that want their employees, teams, and leaders to “be in synch” and make impact. Carol is the author of the Spiral of Accountabilityâ„¢ book released in April. Carol affects positive and productive growth in people’s attitudes, behaviors, and relationships. She helps people work better together and enjoy the process. She integrates diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging learning into all her consulting and talent development work.
Maris Kingfisher, Heartland Workforce Solutions
Maris Kingfisher (they/she) is a dedicated DEI and workforce professional with 15 years of experience in human services, higher education, and workforce development. Maris holds a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership. As a Queer FilAm, they bring a unique perspective to fostering inclusive workforce systems and promoting equity.
Alyssa Kropp, The Casslo Group
Coming from a typical type A over-preparer, it takes a lot for me to be caught off guard. But that’s exactly what happened in August, 2022 when, 11 weeks into a 12 week maternity leave, I was laid off from my senior sales leadership position. I had been in sales and sales leadership for 15+ years and looked at the layoff as an opportunity to pursue a dream of launching my own business. I now consult companies of all sizes on their sales and leadership teams and specialize in teaching first time managers how to lead over performing teams.

Mark Mathia, Signature Performance
Mark Mathia, Chief Experience Officer at Signature Performance, excels in attracting and retaining world-class talent and championing the Associate experience. He leads comprehensive programming to inspire and enhance the Associate experience, which has earned the company Best Places to Work honors eight times. Mark is a Gallup Strengths Coach, Integrative Enneagram Accredited Practitioner, Associate Certified Coach (ICF), and Positive Psychology Coach, and is credentialed through the John Maxwell Team.
Tierra Nesbit, IAM Curvy Red Boutique
Tierra Nesbit, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, has dedicated over 20 years to serving her community, particularly in the realms of fostering, program management, and community engagement. A proud alumna of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Tierra earned her Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on Behavioral Health, showcasing her commitment to understanding and addressing the diverse needs of individuals and families. Tierra’s extensive experience includes notable positions at esteemed organizations such as Boys Town, Omaha Home for Boys, and Apex Family Care. In addition to her remarkable professional journey, Tierra is also a visionary entrepreneur, serving as the owner and operator of IAM Curvy RED Boutique since March 2020. Mary Ann O’Brien, OBI Creative
Recognized as a pioneer in the world of marketing and technology, Mary Ann O’Brien is the founder of OBI Creative, an Omaha-based marketing agency. She has co-authored Voice of the Customer surveys that have served as the foundation for numerous business success stories. From starting her first company at the age of nine to introducing a revolutionary approach to understanding customer journey mapping, Mary Ann has always been an innovative marketing consultant and entrepreneur.
Abbie Perry, Ervin & Smith
Abbie Perry is a marketing strategist who loves turning complex challenges into creative solutions. After five years of agency experience spanning industries like finance, technology, and healthcare, she’s learned to blend strategic thinking with collaboration to drive impactful results for clients. At Ervin & Smith, Abbie crafts marketing strategies that seamlessly connect digital, content, and media efforts, all rooted in insights from thorough research and analysis. Her background in account management has shaped her approach, which is built on strong relationships, teamwork and a genuine passion for making work fun.
Jeffrey Peters, Supportworks
As Director of Sales Training at Supportworks, Jeff works with sales teams throughout the Foundation Supportworks Network, inspiring and coaching them to consistently deliver remarkable experiences for the customers they serve. Jeff also develops new content for Foundation Supportworks dealers based on their evolving needs, in addition to hosting them for training events at the company’s national headquarters in Omaha. Jeff also manages a team of Sales and Service Coaches, mentoring them and holding them accountable to the company’s mission to redefine the contracting industry.
Kimara Snipes, One Omaha
Kimara Snipes, serves as Executive Director of One Omaha. Ms. Snipes has organized in East Omaha communities since she was a teenager. Ms. Snipes served on the Omaha Public Schools board where she helped South Omaha residents navigate COVID by connecting information from our elected officials, the Douglas County Board of Health and the Omaha Public School District to thousands of people in the Omaha community. Ms Snipes holds a nonprofit administration certification from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell. Ms. Snipes is the President of P4 Innovative Solutions, LLC, focusing on stakeholder engagement and insight gathering, DEI policy and program design, and more. She enjoys motorcycles and spending time with her 24-year-old son, Kemari.
Chris Sund, Uniti Med
Chris Sund serves as President/COO at Uniti Med, a healthcare staffing company with a mission to provide staffing services with heart. Sund has nearly a decade of healthcare staffing experience. He is also a Maxwell Leadership certified speaker, teacher, trainer, and coach. It’s his mission to help others become the best version of themselves.
Sund joined Uniti Med in January 2022 and plays a pivotal role in the company’s development. Under his leadership, Uniti Med grew 10x in revenue, and garnered multiple prestigious awards. This is the marquee event for YPs in Omaha, the YP Summit brings more than 1,600 young professionals together – one place, at one time – to grow personally and professionally, to learn more about community and convert insight into real, positive action using our strategic imagination to see beyond today and redefine what we are collectively capable of accomplishing. The YP Summit began in 2005 as a conference to celebrate young professionals in our region.

Do I have to be a Young Professional to attend?
No, it’s a mindset. We are an inclusive event for all ages and don’t card at the door.
Is there a lactation/mother’s room?
Yes, CHI Health Center has a Lactation Pod on the first floor attendees can use!
What is the dress code?
Business, business casual or causal. Come in what you are comfortable wearing!
What is the seating arrangement?
During general sessions, there will be round table seating.
- If your company is a sponsor, your table will be reserved. Check out the floorplans on the day of the event – find your company’s name and assigned table number. This will be your company’s assigned row throughout the day. Not sure if your company is a sponsor? Check with the individual who purchased your ticket to find out.
- If you purchased a single ticket, you will sit in open seating. Find tables marked open seating. These seats are first come, first serve and you may not have the same seat all day.
- If you purchased a VIP ticket, your seat will be reserved. Check out the floorplan on the day of the event and find the VIP tables.
During breakout sessions, there will be theater style seating. No seats will be reserved and it is on a first come, first serve basis.
Are there special lunch options? (Vegen, Gluten-Free, etc.)
Yes, select your meal preference during registration. If you have special dietary restrictions, let us know when registering. We will accommodate your request to the best of our ability.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the venue is accessible to disabled patrons, as required by the ADA and applicable regulations.
