We have a whole day dedicated to Community Service along with opportunities to network, learn, and grow together. The goal of this week is to build community amongst Young Professionals, retain talent in Omaha, and attract new talent to our vibrant metro.

o DAY ONE: Sunday, August 18
YP Showcase

During the Young Professionals Showcase you will be able to network with fellow young professionals and connect with several Young Professional Organizations from the Greater Omaha Area. Join us for great conversations and learn all about how you can get more involved in our community!
o DAY TWO: Monday, August 19
Financial Planning for Young Professionals and the Future of Financial Advice

In this interactive session, Paul West, Managing Partner at Carson Wealth, Erin Wood, Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Advanced Solutions, and Patrick Bevan, Wealth Planner at Carson Wealth, will share best practices in helping young professionals plan their financial future. We’ll talk about what to expect from today’s advisor/client relationship, questions every young professional should ask themselves when planning their future, and how to forge a path forward with sound financial decisions.
Playing Your Way to Scaled Up Communication Skills

In this workshop, the audience will be introduced to improv theater and how the skills can be applied to their personal and professional life!

Pump It Up

Get your cardio and strength training all in one with this 45-minute upbeat class. The class consists of various strength training circuits to hit each muscle group, while increasing your heart rate with short cardio intervals. Guaranteed to leave you feeling pumped up!
Stress Busters 101

Learn quick and easy techniques to keep yourself calm, focused and destressed throughout your day at work. Participants will take away safe and effective movements, breathing exercises, and mindfulness tools that can be done at your desk, and take only minutes (or less) to do.
Open Play
9:30AM-12:00PM
Stop in and play a variety of sports including Table Tennis, Pickleball, Basketball, and Badminton. Free equipment checkout is available at the front desk and activities will be offered from 9:30-12!
Economic Development & Public Policy Insights: A Briefing for Young Professionals

Community Service Day
Back to School Drive with Project Harmony

Project Harmony’s Mission: “To protect and support children, collaborate with professionals and engage the community to end child abuse and neglect.”
All of the items collected will go to the children supported by Project Harmony. You will have the opportunity to choose items from the wishlist and purchase them here in Omaha to dropoff directly at Project Harmony. There is also a virtual option to order and have your items sent to Project Harmony.
Volunteer Outing at Girls Inc.

Volunteer over the lunch hour with other community-minded YPs! Join us at Girls Inc. where we will support their mission by cleaning up their playground, organizing activity supplies, and setting up activities before the girls arrive from school.
