Omaha, Neb., April 15, 2020 – The Greater Omaha Chamber today released Monthly Economic Indicators (MEI) for February, 2020, noting the region was “approximately 9,000 net new jobs compared to February 2019,” while average private hourly wages rose about $1.24 over this time last year.
The chamber’s research team, which aggregates and analyzes a range of economic activities, suggested COVID-19 “has had an impact on Greater Omaha’s economy and we expect to see the effects of the pandemic in the March data.”
