Omaha Performing Arts is delighted to announce that the North American tour of the new stage adaptation of THE WIZARD OF OZ will play Omaha’s Orpheum Theater Tuesday, December 8, through Sunday, December 13, as part of its Broadway Series

This production of THE WIZARD OF OZ is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic. Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this new production contains the beloved Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg songs from the Oscar®-winning movie score, all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Omaha Performing Arts also announces that men and women of the armed forces and their families will be celebrated at the Heroes’ Night performance on Wednesday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m. A select group of local Gold Star Families and Blue Star Families will receive complimentary tickets to the Heroes’ Night performance, and a discount has been extended to all members of the military for the performance.

Heroes’ Night tickets will be available for a 35% off discount for military members and their families when a military ID is presented at the Ticket Omaha box office inside the Holland Center, 1200 Douglas St.

THE WIZARD OF OZ will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, December 8, 9 and 10, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, December 11, at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, December 12, at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, December 13, at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
