Kelli Lieurance, Baird Holm, will be speaking on “Think Your Employees Are Exempt? Not So Fast…: Analyzing the Proposed Changes to the White Collar Overtime Exemptions”
Join Kelli Lieurance as she discusses how the DOL has issued a Noticed of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that significantly changes the salary basis requirement for the white collar exemptions. While the final rule is not expected until 2016, employers should take steps today to prepare for the anticipated changes. This Hot Topic presentation will outline best practices for preparing for the changes, including analyzing your current exempt workforce, brainstorming alternative compensation structures, and addressing other potential cultural and competitive consequences of the proposed rule.
This Session has been pre-approved for 1.5 hours of HR CREDIT from the HR Certification Institute & 1.5 hours of SHRM-CP CREDIT from SHRM’s NEW Professional Development Certification.
