About the Design In Motion exhibition
The anchor exhibition, showcased in KANEKO’s majestic Bow Truss Space, highlights innovative automobile and industrial designers. A curated selection of important, thoughtfully-designed vehicles is featured in the space, with ancillary background information, photography, and insights into the creative process. Each of the automobiles in the exhibition is a unique and compelling work of art – but more importantly, Design In Motion explores the designer, the process involved, and the effects of these design concepts within and beyond their own industry.

A similar treatment is given to bicycles, complete with classic designs of the past and cutting-edge technological advances. Local bike shops are aiding in educational programming and outreach to celebrate bicycles as works of art and modes of transportation.

Design In Motion also features a selection of other interesting vessels, including a rare 1930 Dodge watercraft and innovative video projections, to create a lively and immersive transformation of the space.
