Berkshire Hathaway and its leader, Warren Buffett, have long made Omaha a mecca for value investing, and now metropolitan entrepreneurs have an opportunity to learn some of the skills that have helped place the Oracle of Omaha among the wealthiest in the world.

The Genius of Warren Buffett is a one-of-a-kind course that teaches participants Buffett style stock and business valuations they can immediately utilize to better their company or their investments. Offered as part of the University of Nebraska at Omaha’ Executive MBA program, the course offers a connection to Buffett, with previous participants being promoted to lead Berkshire subsidiaries and becoming appointed board members to non-profits.

Held for a total of 36 hours over the weekends of Sept. 12-13, Oct. 3-4 and Oct. 17-18, the Genius of Warren Buffett will cover the Oracle’s investment principles, management philosophies, corporate governance, succession plan, mistakes, philanthropy and more.

The course is taught by Robert P. Miles, an internationally acclaimed keynote presenter, author and distinguished authority on Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway. As many as six exclusive and distinguished guest lecturers will join Miles, including Buffett authors, Berkshire managers, business journalists and a Buffett family philanthropist.

Available to non-enrolled UNO students of all ages and backgrounds, the Genius of Warren Buffett is open to all Omaha entrepreneurs.
