Omaha, NE: Sun Valley Landscaping is making a name for themselves as they celebrate their 20th year in business. This month they made the cover of the national landscape industry publication: Landscape Management. The company was recognized for their outstanding values, dedication to the community, and their Commit20 Campaign, which launched March 2015.

Giving back isn’t something Sun Valley Landscaping does once or twice a year. It’s instilled in how they do business every day because of their core values. They refer to those values as, “The Sun Valley Way: People come first. We do it right. It’s all about the experience. We take care in the craftsmanship. Everyone is an owner.” Co-owner, Hugh Morton, is quoted as saying, “When you see the guys using the values to answer questions, the business tends to run itself.”

“The Sun Valley Way” has driven the company to become an impactful leader in the Omaha community. Whether it’s mowing lawns for military families, donating materials or volunteering labor to help out a non-profit, they are always finding ways to give. Their generosity was one of the key reasons they were selected to be the featured story for Landscape Management.

The Commit20 Campaign is another way Sun Valley is taking their generosity a step further. Commit20 is challenging people to commit to volunteering at least 20 hours of their time in 2015. At first the campaign was a way to get their employees to become more active in the community. But then they thought, “Why limit it?” Sun Valley expanded the campaign to their clients and the entire Omaha community. They set a goal to gather 500 pledges for a total of 10,000 hours served which is being tracked on www.commit20.com
