StrategicHealthSolutions, LLC (Strategic) is pleased to announce David Schuster as its new Program Management Division Director. Working from Strategic’s Baltimore office, Schuster will be responsible for staffing, mentoring, effectively utilizing and training the company’s program managers to ensure employee and customer satisfaction.

“The program manager is often the only person to directly interact with the customer. Having a strong leader to oversee and mentor these program managers is vital to the success of the company and I believe we found the perfect candidate with David,” said John Dyer, President of Strategic.

Schuster brings over 12 years of program management experience in Medicare/Medicaid operations and systems, where he developed a propensity for implementing strong systems, policies, and procedures to ensure continuous process improvement.

Most recently, Schuster served as the Lead Migration Architect for Anthem, where he worked closely with the Government Business Division and California Health Plan on the California Migration Project.

Prior to Anthem, Schuster was COO of Gabriel Systems, Inc., a minority owned small business in Washington DC, where he consulted with state and federal health care agencies including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on a variety of projects. Some of these projects included directing the new ICD-10 coding system implementation, managing the system design for claims, serving as the Interim Deputy Medicaid Director over Policy and Provider Services for the State of Georgia, and redesigning the CMS Beneficiary Protection Program.  Schuster also served in a leadership role for the State of Tennessee’s Medicaid program.

“We are thrilled to have David on board to lead Strategic’s Program Managers,” said Diana Mehochko, COO of Strategic. “His strong background in health care operations and information technology will be a great asset to the company.”

Schuster is equally excited to join Strategic. “I am honored to step into this new role, and I look forward to working under the leadership of Strategic’s executive team as we continue to grow through excellence and integrity.”
