Description
The Solutions Architect is a pre-sales engineering role that works very closely with Sales, Project Management, and Field Engineering in our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, but also possess solid communication and consultative skills. We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic and the desire to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Common Responsibilities for this position include:
- Develop solutions to solve highly complex technical and business issues
- Maintain a high level of proficiency and knowledge in datacenter technology products
- Uncover and develop opportunity by asking questions about business issues and providing technical recommendations
- Assist in any and all stages of the pre-sales process, including sales calls, proposal development, customer presentations and customer relationship management
- Participate in project planning and preparation
- Assist with knowledge transfer to the field engineering organization
- Participate in strategic meetings with senior leaders both internally and with customers
Minimum Requirements for this position include:
- High levels of expertise and knowledge with the following technologies:
- SANNAS technologies
- Virtualization technologies
- Microsoft infrastructure solutions
- WANLAN and Wireless infrastructures
- LinuxUNIX and other open systems
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology
- Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Consulting experience a plus
Locations
IP Pathways has locations in Des Moines, Omaha and Kansas City. We are in search of candidates in our Omaha office.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is based on experience and incentives exist which reward overachievement. A full package of benefits exist including health, vision, life and retirement plan including matching contributions.
