Nebraska-based Sammy’s Superheroes Foundation is one of five finalists to be nominated for the Art From The Heart project by renowned artist Jeff Hanson of Overland Park, Kansas.

Jeff and his family started the Art from the Heart project as a way to help non-profits raise funds for their missions. Each year Jeff takes nominations for a non-profit to win a one-of-a-kind painting to be auctioned off with all the proceeds to be given to the cause. His paintings have gone for as high as $50,000 and past winners included Team Jack, another Nebraska-based organization for childhood cancer. Sammy’s will be teaming with the Brian and Lisa Duensing Foundation to auction the art if won.

Any 501c3 non-profit can be submitted, but the finalists are based on the number of nominations received. Sammy’s Superheroes Foundation developed a strong social media and email campaign to drive its supporters to www.jeffhansonart.com where they could fill out a short form to nominate Sammy’s. The first stage of the campaign was a success.

Sammy’s Superheroes Foundation is now one of the top 5 going against other foundations across the US. To be the overall winner, Sammy’s Superheroes needs to get as many people to go to www.facebook.com/jeffhansonart and like the Sammy’s Superheroes post that feature the organization’s logo.

The campaign will go through February 13th and the winner announced on Valentines Day.
