The first in this Opera Boot Camp series spotlights one of the greatest exponents of operatic realism, Giacomo Puccini. In anticipation of Opera Omaha’s production of La bohème, find out how this young struggling composer went on to create a string of beloved operas that established him as the leading Italian composer after Verdi.

Opera Omaha’s Engagement Programs Manager DIMITRI KONTOS and conductor HAL FRANCE present stimulating talks accompanied by audio and video excerpts that will each cover a different time period in Puccini’s life.

Each hour-long session will be held twice – once at Le Bouillion restaurant in Omaha and once at Dixie Quicks in Council Bluffs.

REGISTER HERE. Walk-ins are welcome, but due to space limitations, reservations are encouraged.
