Playing with Fire, Omaha’s sizzling summer concert tradition, is set to make even more of its Midtown Crossing venue – by giving fans more of the top shelf talent they’ve come to expect.
Featuring the best in blues, soul, funk, R & B, and rock, Playing with Fire marks its 12th successful year – it’s second at Midtown Crossing’s Pavilion at Turner Park – by expanding from two concert days to three.

“We’ve got something for everyone – accomplished artists that include Canada’s blues elite, sacred steel greats, an internationally-renowned Sitar maestro fusion player, and a rousing boogie woogie piano band from Poland, among other fantastic acts,” said Jeff Davis, founder of Playing with Fire, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

A free concert experience, Playing with Fire’s 2015 schedule will play out over the course of three Thursday nights: June 18 and 25, and July 2, starting at 5:30 p.m. Bands from the BluesEd youth music program will open the shows.

This summer’s Playing with Fire line-up includes:

June 18
The Campbell Brothers (Headliner)
Markey Blue
Voodoo Vinyl

June 25 (A three hour nonstop show!)
An Evening with The Paul DesLauriers Band & Very Special Guests:

• Angel Forrest accompanied by Denis Coulombe
Dilemma

July 2

Us & Them

Midtown Crossing. Five years old. Just getting started. This is what a strong urban core looks like – a diverse neighborhood where restaurants and retail, community events and individual experiences radiate. An energetic embrace when you want to live loudly, a quiet escape when you don’t. We’re dinner conversation with friends and shopping you won’t find anywhere else. 16 acres of life’s little extras: activity, serenity, community. Perfectly centered. East of expected.
