Omaha Performing Arts is proud to announce that the Orpheum Theater and Holland Performing Arts Center were listed among the top theatre venues in the country and in the world in two different end-of-year reports. The Holland Center was ranked seventh among U.S. theatre venues of similar capacity in Venues Today’s year-end report; the Orpheum Theater was ranked 13th. In Pollstar’s year-end report for top 200 theatre venues worldwide, the Orpheum Theater was ranked 52nd and the Holland Center was ranked 143rd.

Venues Today, the leading source of original reporting for live entertainment and events, released its Top Stops of 2014 list in its December 2014 issue. Rankings were based on concert and event grosses as reported to Venues Today between October 16, 2013 and October 15, 2014. The Holland Center has been in the top 10 Top Stops for the last four years; the Orpheum Theater has been on the Top Stops list for three of the past four years.

Pollstar, the only trade publication covering the worldwide concert industry, listed Omaha’s Orpheum Theater as 52nd among theatre venues of any size for worldwide ticket sales for the period between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014. The publication listed the Holland Center as 143rd.

Omaha Performing Arts owns and operates the Holland Performing Arts Center and manages and maintains the Orpheum Theater – the former, which includes the acoustically acclaimed Kiewit Concert Hall and Scott Recital Hall and the latter, which includes Slosburg Hall, a proscenium theater.

“Our continued success in ticket sales can be attributed to the variety of high quality entertainment we present in the Orpheum and the Holland along with the community’s tremendous response,” said Joan Squires, president of Omaha Performing Arts. “We continually strive to make Omaha a destination for the very best performers and productions, whether they’re national Broadway tours, popular comedians, world renowned dance troupes or well-known musicians.”
