OMAHA, Neb., June 21, 2016 – Recently One Source The Background Check Company completed a Web Application Penetration Test. The Web Application Vulnerability is an assessment and attempts to exploit the given applications, highlighting the underlying flaws of a web platform. While many network vulnerabilities rely on standardized software which can be patched, websites today are primarily custom-made, leaving them open to a flurry of potential attacks. New updates and pages are constantly added and rarely receive the testing they need to withstand attacks. Given these web-specific threats and the importance of web technologies today, web applications are always a crucial security concern.

Ashley Azar, our National Account Manager stated, “The penetration test allowed One Source to go above and beyond standard background check security requirements.”

As required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, One Source must comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This occurs monthly on our web platform. The Web Application Penetration test was completed in addition to the PCI standards. One Source The Background Check Company currently has above the recommended security standards to comply with the payment card industry. One Source strives to meet and exceed our client’s expectations and by completing the penetration test we have continued to do so. In the meantime, we have also corrected flaws found to keep applicant information safe from web threats.
