Midtown Crossing, GreenSlate Development, Urban Village Development and Spaces Apartments are excited to showcase their unique takes on dynamic urban living during the Midtown Living Tour on Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Guided tours of each sponsor’s condo and/or apartment models will serve as the main attraction, with each development adding their own signature touches.

Midtown Crossing
In addition to condo and apartment model tours, Midtown Crossing will be hosting live acoustic musicians, offering swag bags to the first 200 attendees and giving away a complete Midtown Crossing Experience, including a night stay at the Element, dinner at CRAVE, movie tickets to Marcus Midtown Cinema and more.

“This is an especially meaningful tour for us, coming as we celebrate five wonderful years in midtown. Seeing the revitalization that has taken place during that time, the strengthening of our urban core, has been infinitely rewarding – and it’s inspiring. When you see what’s possible, you want to work even harder to build on that success,” said Molly Skold, Midtown Crossing’s vice president of marketing and communications.

Also on May 9th, Midtown Crossing is also hosting a community celebration marking the neighborhood’s fifth anniversary. The celebration will include the launch of Spreading Our Roots: A Community Art Celebration featuring the Trees of Midtown – 22 local artists transforming Turner Park tree by tree. Attendees are encouraged to meet in Farnam Court to kick off their tour of Midtown Crossing units.

GreenSlate Development
GreenSlate Development has focused all of its time and energy in contributing to the revitalization of the historic Blackstone District over the course of the past 3 years. Their current residential offerings include townhome units on 40th and Harney Streets. They are also currently working on two new apartment buildings that are slated for completion in 2016.

“There is tremendous momentum in midtown. GreenSlate is proud to be a part of it – and we’re proud to show it off. The Blackstone District is becoming one of Omaha’s most vibrant neighborhoods; a diverse, multi-use community where people can live, work and play. It’s a destination that is lively, pedestrian-friendly, and dedicated to providing a unique cultural experience for the entire community,” said Erin Huerter with GreenSlate Development.

For tours of the townhomes, attendees are encouraged to visit 4006 Harney St.

Urban Village Development
Urban Village is a growing community of locally owned and managed neighborhood apartment dwellings. Each historic building, renovated with high-quality, modern furnishings, maintains its local character and original charm.

Located in thriving midtown Omaha, Urban Village developments are minutes away from Creighton University, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Kiewit, Mutual of Omaha Union Pacific, ConAgra, and Omaha’s art and entertainment district.

“It is our mission to revitalize midtown neighborhood communities and enhance the overall living experience.” said Jerry Reimer and Scott Semrad with Urban Village Development.

For Tours of the apartments, attendees are encouraged to visit these properties:
The Lofts on Harney: 3005 Harney St.
The Park Terrace: 315 N 34th St.
The Unitah: 2934 Leavenworth St.
The Art Deco: 846 Park Ave.

Spaces Apartments
Bluestone Development’s newly-constructed Spaces Apartments, at 501 Park Avenue, will also be a featured stop on the tour. Spaces lives up to its name – with cleverly conceived community spaces, well-appointed individual spaces and an architectural style that breaks out of the typical ‘apartment block’ with a U-shaped style to carve out a courtyard featuring a zero-entry pool, fire pit and lounge area, grill patio and basketball court.

At Spaces, there is a space for everything and everything in its space. Each of our spaces showcases a different theme — from the hotel-style concierge front desk space to the privacy of our leasing space, to our speak-easy-style lobby space and our “Feel Good” lobby bar. Head around to our ‘Game Space,’ with golf game and arcade game and ‘Sweat Space’ fitness area defined by its top of the line workout equipment, and courtyard-facing garage door.

Spaces’ Geeky Cool features include a lobby with complimentary WiFi throughout, plus conveniences that make it easy to check off the mundane chores. Pay rent on the go with Spaces’ online rent payment option, submit maintenance requests through the Spaces website and receive Spaces updates through the e-newsletter.

“It’s one thing to read about midtown’s amazing urban lifestyle; it’s another to experience it in ‘real life,” said Christine Gladman of Bluestone Development. “We look forward to showing off every unique part of our entire community to midtown and introducing our geeky cool, new Spaces apartments.”

Free Parking
Midtown Crossing offers convenient and secure parking for more than 3,000 vehicles. Two parking garages are easily accessible from 33rd, Farnam and Harney Streets. In both garages, the first three hours are free, and visitors pay only $1 for each hour thereafter (with a daily maximum fee of $6).

Midtown Crossing. Five years old. And just getting started. This is what a strong urban core looks like – a diverse neighborhood where restaurants and retail, community events and individual experiences come to life. An energetic embrace when you want to live loudly, a quiet escape when you don’t. We’re dinner conversation with friends and shopping you won’t find anywhere else. 16 acres of life’s little extras: activity, serenity, community. Perfectly centered. East of expected.
