With 90% of companies looking to hire MBAs this year and a median salary of over $100,000 (GMAC, 2015), an MBA degree can directly help you maximize your potential. All it takes it getting started.

Macey Morgan, a Learning and Development Specialist at C&A Industries, has accelerated her career growth with the Midland MBA. She attended the Greater Omaha Young Professionals Summit, a helpful first step in all young professionals’ development, and heard more about the scholarships available to students beginning the hybrid MBA program at Midland.

“I do my current position well, but I wanted to be able to understand my company and industry from a big-picture standpoint,” she says. “I’ve been able to implement what I learned in my economics class the most.”

Avi Atholi, Senior Director of Data Management at First National Bank of Omaha, was the professor of that Managerial Economics course. He finds the prospect of developing the next wave of talent in the Omaha area exciting.

“I have always looked at myself as a maximizer of potential,” he says. “Here, I have the opportunity to influence minds in a way that’s giving back to the community.”

Professor Atholi teaches multiple courses in the program, working with students at both the beginning and culmination of their MBA, so he is in a unique position among professors to witness students’ growth.

“Most of the time when students come into the program, they’re half-assured whether they’re the right fit,” he says. “I see their metamorphosis into a more confident businessperson who’s ready to solve the next problem, and that’s very satisfying.”

Macey and Professor Atholi have similar advice for anyone thinking about developing their skills with a hybrid MBA from Midland University.

“It’s easy to make excuses as to why it’s not the right time to start a graduate program,” says Macey. “The reality is, those things will never go away and life only gets busier and more complicated. I’m happy that I inquired and started the program when I did.”

“You have to take the leap of faith if you really want to accelerate your career,” Professor Atholi adds.

Taking that leap has helped Macey maximize her potential, and the Midland MBA is proud to sponsor the 2016 Greater Omaha Young Professionals Summit for others to do the same.
