Lamp Rynearson & Associates Acquires TZA Water Engineers

TZA Water Engineers (TZA) of Lakewood, Colorado has served the engineering needs of water users throughout Colorado and the Midwest for almost 40 years.  Specializing in the development, protection, and management of water resources, TZA has technical specialists who deal daily with key issues and regulations affecting water supplies, and the special needs of water supply providers.

The acquisition of TZA by Lamp Rynearson will allow both firms to expand the depth of engineering services offered to clients. Founded in 1959, Lamp Rynearson is a civil engineering, surveying, and planning firm with over 130 employees and offices in Omaha, Kansas City, and Fort Collins.   Advantages of the merger include the enhancement of Lamp Rynearson’s water resources expertise while providing a solid ownership transition for TZA that will benefit clients and employees.

Mike McMeekin, president of Lamp Rynearson, said, “TZA is well respected throughout Colorado and the Midwest. In addition to enhancing Lamp Rynearson’s water resources expertise, our firm is expanding its presence in a key market.”  Under the new corporate structure, Bruce Kroeker, TZA President, will lead Lamp Rynearson’s operations in Lakewood. “We liked working with the people at Lamp Rynearson right from the start.  We share important values: commitment to our clients, honesty, strong technical expertise, and delivering what we say we will do,” said Kroeker. The TZA name, staff and office location will remain the same.

Lamp Rynearson provides civil and environmental engineering, surveying, hydraulic studies, leadership in public infrastructure and private development and redevelopment projects.   Land planning, water and wastewater expertise, and aquatics design are offered in-house as well.  Other services include water rights engineering, water supply planning, and the design of water wells and pumping systems.    The firm has 130 employees and provides a wide range of services from four office locations: Kansas City, Missouri; Omaha, Nebraska; Fort Collins and Lakewood, Colorado.
