Show Celebrates 30th Anniversary, Features Maura O’Connell And Step Dancers
Omaha Performing Arts presents Cherish the Ladies in the Kiewit Hall at the Holland Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets start at $25, and are available at TicketOmaha.com, 402.345.0606 or at the Ticket Omaha Office inside the Holland Center, 1200 Douglas St.
Cherish the Ladies have grown from a one-time concert concept to the most successful and sought-after Irish-American group in Celtic music. Members of the ensemble are Joanie Madden (whistle, flute, vocals), Mary Coogan (guitar, mandolin, banjo), Mirella Murray (piano accordion), Liz Carroll (fiddle) and Kathleen Boyle (piano). Joining the ladies on stage will be the Irish singer and two-time Grammy® nominee, Maura O’Connell; two world champion step dancers, Michael Holland and Garrett Coleman; and Jason Oremus, the former principal lead dancer for Riverdance. With their unique blend of virtuosic instrumental talents, vocals, arrangements and step dancing, Cherish the Ladies combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture.
