A prepared workforce needs your voice, and the deadline to provide feedback for the annual Omaha Metro Survey of Hiring and Training needs is December 31.
Designed to identify education needs, training opportunities and skill gaps, the survey, sponsored by the Nebraska Departments of Economic Development and Labor, provides much-needed data to a host of area planning organizations, including The Greater Omaha Chamber. Results of the survey will inform Nebraska’s employers, and will enhance the Chamber’s understanding of workforce trends and job growth.
Employers who participate in the survey and provide a contact email address will be among the first to receive a report detailing the outcomes of the study.
Surveys may be completed online at dol.nebraska.gov/survey/omaha using the survey ID and PIN (provided with the survey that was mailed in October), returned to the Nebraska Department of Labor using the envelope included with the survey, emailed to LMI_NE@nebraska.gov, or faxed to (402) 471-9867. For more information or for questions or comments about the survey, please visit the online portal at https://dol.nebraska.gov/las or contact the Nebraska Department of Labor by phone at (800) 876-1377 or by email at LMI_NE@nebraska.gov.
The results of the study will be published at NEworks.nebraska.gov.
