“Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in the Workplace ”
This presentation will help increase awareness of people to be culturally competent with the topics of sexual orientation and gender identity to increase the level of education, awareness, and inclusivity in the work place and in our community. Ellen and her husband have 3 school-aged children, one of whom is 13 years old and is transgender. Their child fully transitioned when she was 8 years old. There will be plenty of time for Q & A, so bring your questions, your curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
HRAM roundtables provides an opportunity to discuss with other HR professionals the ethical dilemmas that confront them in the workplace.
About Dr. Kracher
Ellen James is an attorney who has practiced in Omaha for nearly 20 years in the areas of estate planning and family law. She is a Board Member of PFLAG National. PFLAG is the oldest family and ally LGBT organization in the country. Ellen is also the central region Regional Director for PFLAG National. In her capacity as a Regional Director, she works as a liaison between the National office and all the chapters in IA, KS, MO, and NE.

PFLAG is the oldest family and ally LGBT organization in the country. Ellen is also the central region Regional Director for PFLAG National. In her capacity as a Regional Director, she works as a liaison between the National office and all the chapters in IA, KS, MO, and NE.>/p>

>p>This presentation will help increase awareness of people to be culturally competent with the topics of sexual orientation and gender identity to increase the level of education, awareness, and inclusivity in the work place and in our community. Ellen and her husband have 3 school-aged children, one of whom is 13 years old and is transgender. Their child fully transitioned when she was 8 years old. There will be plenty of time for Q & A, so bring your questions, your curiosity, and a willingness to learn.>/p>
