Topic: “Understanding Grief & Depression in the Workplace” 

The purpose of this presentation is to assist Human Resource Individuals in Identifying depression especially related to loss. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify symptoms in coworkers who may be suffering from depression.
  • Identify the difference between grief and loss and complicated grief.Identify different stages coworkers may go through related to grief and loss
  • Identify negative behaviors coworkers use to cope with grief and loss.Identify employees who may be dealing with a living loss.
  • Identify strategies to assist employees dealing with depression and anxiety related to loss.
  • Identify common statements that are not helpful to a coworker who has experienced a loss.
  • Identify resources in the Omaha Metro that support individuals dealing with grief and loss. 

Symposiums are smaller and less formal meetings for HRAM members. 

This Program has been submitted for 1.5 hours of HR CREDIT from the HR Certification Institute.  This Program has been submitted for 1.5 hours of SHRM-CP recertification credit through SHRM Professional Development Certification.

It is FREE to attend; however, registration is required as seating is limited.
