Networking:  11:00am
HRAM Announcements/Lunch:  11:30am

Speaker:  Jack Smalley, SPHR, Express Employment Professionals

Keynote (12:00pm):  “Why the Best CEO’s are Turning to HR to Solve The Top 5 Threats Companies Face”

We are entering a new economy and business model with tremendous potential for HR to lead strategic organizational success. The first of the five threats that will be discussed is the loss of your competitive advantage as other organizations level the playing field while simultaneously failing to engage your workforce to create and develop new products and services faster than your competition. Second, we will discuss the cost of reckless hiring, as most analysts agree that 80% of turnover can be attributed to bad hires. Third, regulatory nightmares can become a huge external nightmare due to the impact that government regulation can have on your business. The other two threats we will examine are the inability to innovate, and poor leadership and communication skills. You must be ready to anticipate, respond, adapt and above all, lead through these critical threats.

Technical Session (1:15 – 4:30pm):  “Leading Organizational Excellence by Avoiding the Top 10 Leadership Mistakes”

We are entering a new economy and business model with tremendous potential for you to lead strategic organizational success. However, your business is facing five threats for survival and you must be ready to anticipate, respond, adapt and above all, lead through these critical threats. The old economy was embodied by large companies facing limited competition in stable markets. The new economy is fueled by the fast eating the slow. The facts are alarming and CEOs are turning to you to lead the organization through these five threats and minefields. This session details the top 10 mistakes that HR leaders make and how to avoid them. We will discuss how today’s organizational success is solely in the hands of HR.

This program has been submitted for a total of 4 hours of Business Management & Strategy recertification credit to the HR Certification Institute for review.
