Beringer to Spread Holiday Cheer with Donation of Winter Gloves

NAPA, CA (November 12, 2014) – Beringer Vineyards will donate a pair of gloves for each bottle of Beringer Classics wine purchased this holiday season with its ‘Give More Cheer’ program. Beringer is proud to donate winter gloves to a variety of shelters and community organizations across the country by partnering with Good360 to deliver the donated items to recipients in need.

Good360 will offer the gloves to its network of 40,000 nonprofits across the United States, serving veterans, single mothers, Native Americans, homeless families, disaster relief victims and many more. Good360 distributes more than $300 million worth of product donations annually.

For each bottle of Beringer Classics wine sold in November and December, there will be a donation of a pair of red winter gloves, up to a value of $50,000. Building on the brand’s charitable legacy that has included its Million Meals program in 2013, and its donation to Birdies for the Brave® in 2014, this holiday season will mark another year Beringer Vineyards gives back to those in need. “With the holidays approaching, we are glad to have an opportunity to contribute to those in need of warmth this winter. We hope this program will make customers feel even better about purchasing our award-winning wines when shopping for their holiday tables,” said Barry Sheridan, Vice President of Marketing for Beringer Vineyards.

The Beringer ‘Give More Cheer’ campaign will be promoted through digital advertising as well as in-store display items in retail stores throughout the country. The Beringer Classics range includes Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Moscato, Pink Moscato, Red Moscato, White Zinfandel Moscato, White Merlot, White Zinfandel, Red Moscato, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

About Good360 Good360 is an international nonprofit that works with companies, charities and individuals to make the business of giving simpler, more efficient and more effective. The Alexandria, Va.-based organization was created in 1983 to help companies efficiently donate slow-moving, obsolete and seasonal inventory to charitable organizations. These donated products – including new, nonperishable goods such as apparel, books, toys, personal care products, office and school supplies, computers and much more – are distributed to Good360’s pre-vetted nonprofit network encompassing about 40,000 organizations. Today, Good360 is changing the face of philanthropy by creating a Circle of Good that allows companies, nonprofits and individuals to work together to do more social good together. The organization is accomplishing this through its technology initiatives, including the organization’s GivingPlace technology platform and the launch of its Disaster Recovery360 platform (planned for 2015). Good360 has been recognized by the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, Verizon’s Powerful Answers Awards and Forbes for its excellence, innovation and efficiency, respectively, in helping all of its partners do good, better.
