Girls Incorporated of Omaha (Girls Inc.) unveiled plans today that it will be partnering with the University of Nebraska Medical Center to offer health care services at its new $15 million health and wellness center at 2811 North 45th Street.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held this morning for the 55,000 square foot addition, which will include a gymnasium and locker rooms, as well as teen, media and fitness centers and a partial renovation of the existing Girls Inc. facility, including installation of an instructional kitchen. The newly expanded Girls Inc. center will be named in memory of Katherine Fletcher, a respected leader in the Omaha community and an exemplary educator with the Omaha Public Schools.
