PMP/CAPM exam testing standards change this winter after PMI releases its PMBOK 6th Edition!  Earn your PMP or CAPM under the current 5th Edition standards – take action now.  PMI Heartland offers you a PMP/CAPM certification training course that is better and more cost-effective than PMP training boot camps – and this fall’s class is the last one we will offer based upon PMBOK 5th Edition standards.

Following up on the success of our first course, PMI Heartland partners with VelociTeach (https://www.velociteach.com) to provide you with a unique 12-week PMP/CAPM Examination Preparation course beginning Mon, 14 Aug 2017.  As part of the program structure, each student receives the VelociTeach Standard Package, and our expert volunteer instructors use those materials and the full 200-question practice exam to prepare students for the PMP/CAPM examination.  One evening a week for 12 weeks, an experienced PMP covers one or two chapters from the PMI Body of Knowledge 5th edition (PMBOK 5th Ed.), as well as the “Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct.”

Education Hours: The study group meets for a total of 26 hours over 12 consecutive weeks.  Additionally, students will take a 4-hour/200-question online practice exam and have access to an 8-hour Advanced workbook (for a total of 38 hours).  One hour of meeting time is one contact hour of formal education.  Students receive a certificate confirming the number of hours participated.

The full requirements for sitting for the PMP exam, PMP Handbook, and Exam Content Guide are available on the PMI site are available on the PMI site.

If you are short on hours of experience leading or participating on projects to qualify for the PMP certification, you may qualify to sit for the CAPM. Click here for information on the CAPM certification.

The PMP/CAPM Examination Preparation Study Group starts Monday, August 14, 2017 and runs for 12 consecutive weeks.  All sessions are held at UNO’s Mammel Hall from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.

The study group is a structured, guided approach to covering the materials needed to establish a base of knowledge that is required for the examination.  These sessions provide the core of the effort to prepare for the exam.  The PMP volunteer instructors focus on helping you understand the materials needed for the exam.  Each session complements your own study time and efforts with tips about areas to concentrate and approaches to thinking through the multiple choice questions.

VelociTeach materials are included in the registration fee and students keep all materials after the class in order to prepare for the exam.  PMI Heartland also recommends students purchase the PMBOK 5th Edition!

Please contact the Director Exam Prep for more information or with questions.
