Joe is the senior lecturer at MIT at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship and one of the nation’s leading experts on startups. He will share lessons he’s learned in starting and funding companies and his advice for new entrepreneurs.

Hadzima has been involved in the founding of more than 100 companies as a founder, investor, director, legal counsel or employee. He is also the founding judge of the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition, which was originally the $10K Entrepreneurship Competition. A member of the MIT Venture Mentoring Service, he has advised federal and state government agencies, universities, and nonprofits on the creation and support of entrepreneurial ecosystems to create economic growth. In addition to this work at MIT, Hadzima is the managing director of Main Street Partners LLC, venture development firm, and is the president of its portfolio company, IPVision, Inc.

For over 25 years, Hadzima was director of the Global MIT Enterprise Forum and was its chairman of the board for four years. Hadzima also practiced law for 17 years at Ropes & Gray then at Sullivan & Worcester as the founder and director of its High-Tech/New Ventures Group.
