Cox Business and Inc. Magazine are joining forces to offer Omaha start-ups the opportunity to take their businesses to the next level. The fifth event in the “Get Started” series, “Get Started Omaha” occurring April 24, 2014 at 5:30 p.m., will give five entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business idea to a panel of digital marketing, venture capital and small business growth experts. The winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize, $2,500 Cox Business technology package and $1,000 in Cox Media consultative/production services.
The expert panel includes:
· Tim Washer, Cisco’s social media leader
· Eric Paley, managing partner of venture capital firm Founder Collective
· Christine Largorio-Chafkin, editor at Inc.
Those interested in pitching their business ideas have until April 3 to enter. Only five will be selected for the event on April 24 at the Holland Performing Arts Center. However, all are welcome to attend as their will be plenty of networking opportunities as well as a “Pitch Perfect Workshop.”
