Cooking for VNA provides a unique opportunity to sample delectable foods prepared by local chefs in Council Bluffs and southwest Iowa while helping support the Visiting Nurse Association. This year,Cooking for VNA features delicious cuisine from these “Culinary Gems”:
– Chef Jolene Caldwell, Aronia Berry Processors
– Chef Boyd Blasi, B & B’s, Again
– Chef Jay Hartong, Barley’s
– Chef Rene Orduno, Dixie Quicks
– Chef Sharon Oamek, Honeycreek Creamery
– Chef Jessie Dolson, Hy-Vee Foods
During the event, participating chefs provide a cooking demonstration at a decorated workstation. The top chefs from Cooking for VNA will receive awards. Guests will enjoy a variety of incredible food, cash bar, silent auction and musical entertainment.
All proceeds will benefit VNA’s Cooking Matters™ program, which empowers families at risk of hunger with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make healthy and affordable meals.
Cooking for VNA tickets are available for $50 in advance by calling 402.930.4170, or by visiting www.theVNAcares.org. Tickets will be $55 at the door.
