Color Vibe’s Omaha fun run on September 6 to benefit ENOA

OMAHA, NE – The Color Vibe, a “vibrantly colorful” 5k fun run company, is hosting the Omaha Color Vibe 5k on Saturday, September 6. The festivities, which will be full of VIBRANT color, music, and a lot of fun, will begin at 9 a.m. at the TD Ameritrade Park, 1200 Mike Fahey St.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging. “We are excited to be able to work with such a great charity,” says Nate Sorenson, Color Vibe’s race director. “ENOA is able to give back so much and leave lasting memories in the community.”

In 2014, ENOA is celebrating 40 years of serving older adults in Douglas, Sarpy, Dodge, Cass, and Washington counties.

The Color Vibe is a unique 5k fun run series that’s gaining popularity throughout the United States. Throughout the course, participants run, walk, or dance their way through color stations, where vibrant colors are used to tie-dye white outfits and costumes. When it’s over, everyone is invited to stick around for a large colorful dance party hosted by a professional sound crew and a DJ.
As The Color Vibe’s website states, “You are the canvas, and when you’re finished with this 5k run you’ll be an exciting and vivid masterpiece.”

To make this event unique, the Color Vibe uses a cornstarch-based colored powder to tie-dye participants’ white outfits and costumes. The colored powder is made in the USA from food-grade quality cornstarch using an advanced manufacturing process that’s been custom developed for the Color Vibe Race Series. It’s non-toxic, 100 percent safe, and biodegradable. It also washes out easily from skin and hair.

The Color Vibe encourages runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels to participate. “The Color Vibe 5k is full of inspirational stories of runners and non-runners alike coming together to share a life experience, accomplish fitness goals, and become rainbow junkies.” Sorenson says. “We do not time our 5k fun runs so every participant can take their time getting colored.”
For a limited time only, children age 12 and under can participate in the run for free.
The Color Vibe also offers special discounts and offers to businesses looking to tap into their health and wellness plans.
