Farnam Festival returns on Saturday, Sept. 12, rebranded after a four-year hiatus, and headlined by Digital Leather and M34N STR33T. The free Blackstone Farnam Festival also features indie rock band Oquoa, surf rock band Huge Effing Waves and producer/DJ Kethro. Essentially a block party, the event returns at a great time, as the Blackstone district has quickly become one of Omaha’s hippest neighborhoods.

40th Street will be shut down between Farnam and Dodge for the festival, which will include beer, wine and food vendors, and booths run by the following neighborhood businesses: Dundee Bank; Farnam House; GreenSlate Development; Noli’s Pizzeria; UNMC/Midtown Clinic; Boquet Flowers; Hi-Fi House; Kleveland Clothing; Crescent Moon; and Pranam Yoga. The event is sponsored in part by Nebraska Medicine, Dundee Bank, Green Slate Development, and Admiral District. Music, curated by Hear Nebraska, starts at 5 p.m.

As part of the festival check out all the new business. The following drinking establishments will be open that night: Corkscrew Wine & Cheese, Nite Owl, Scriptown, Mula, Sullivans & Nollis.
