Midtown Crossing is amping up preparations for this year’s Holiday Lights Spectacular, harnessing state-of-the-art technology, meticulous planning and crackling creativity to produce a sight-and-sound sequel that will outshine last year’s original offering.

A choreographed blend of light and holiday music projected onto Midtown Crossing’s condominium buildings, the Holiday Lights Spectacular will run approx. 20-minutes nightly – Saturday, Nov. 21, thru Thursday, Jan. 1, 2016 – starting at 7 p.m.

“We wanted it bigger and bolder – a holiday tradition that truly dazzles. Imaginations are running wild, new elements are being added and Omaha is in for a lot of ‘Wow,’” said Molly Skold, vice president – marketing and communication, Midtown Crossing.

This year’s enhanced program will feature:

·        Two different shows – with unique playlists – that will alternate every other night

·        Additional sound speakers

·        Incorporation of lit Turner Park trees into the production

·        A fog element that will provide another canvas for the lights.

FadeUp Design Group will design and produce this year’s show, after orchestrating the inaugural 2014 extravaganza

“Everywhere we could tighten it up and touch it up was handled this year. That’s just a sign of a good production,” owner Heath Marrinan explained.

The Holiday Lights Spectacular will complement Midtown Crossing’s other holiday happenings, including Family Fun Day from 3 – 6 p.m. on Nov. 21. The kid-focused event, produced in partnership with the Salvation Army, will feature an array of fun activities, including a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, storytime, cookie decorating, holiday carnival games, family yoga, zumba sessions and more. The 2015 Holiday Lights Spectacular will debut at 7 p.m. that evening, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.

All holiday activities, including Family Fun Day and the Holiday Lights Spectacular, are free to the public, three hours of garage parking included.
