For the second year in a row the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Midlands Mentoring Partnership and its 11 member agencies to recruit more mentors for Omaha area youth. Currently, more than 30,000 youth in Omaha live below the poverty line and would benefit from a mentor, yet only 3,000 of them are currently being served by a mentoring relationship. Addressing common misconceptions about eligibility, time commitment and other possible deterrents to becoming a mentor are also a part of MMP’s Recruitment Campaign.

Attend a Lunch & Learn to hear more about mentoring on the United Way Day of Action on Friday, October 10. Email chagan@mmpomaha.org for info and registration
