Echos of Deco An Arts For All Summer Camp June 8-12 Northwest High Magnet School Echos of Deco will be an interdisciplinary arts summer day camp for kids ages eight through sixteen. Taking place at Northwest High Magnet School in June 2015, the camp will feature tracks in the visual arts, music, theater, and dance. Campers will explore the Art Deco period as it applies to their chosen field, with a special emphasis on Omaha’s history and culture during this period. All tracks will work together on a joint evening performance at the end of the week, featuring all of their individual talents.
The cost of the camp will be $240 per camper. With forty hours of camp time over the week, this averages to $6 per hour per child. Arts For All has a policy of never turning away students due to the inability to pay. With scholarships and payment plans available, we aim to make this camp affordable and attainable to every student who wishes to attend.
We are seeking support from in-kind and fiscal sponsors to help defray the cost of running the camp. We are also seeking community support from groups with a vested interest in Omaha’s storied history to enrich our camp curriculum through field trips and other resources.
Arts For All, Inc. (AFA) is a nonprofit arts education organization dedicated to making the arts available and affordable for all ages throughout Metro Omaha.
