The Ambassador Health System is pleased to announce the promotion of Marcia Schroeder to chief executive officer (CEO).

As CEO, Schroeder has oversight of the strategic direction and operation of The Ambassador Health System’s four skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, located in Nebraska and Iowa. While promoting a culture that reflects the organization’s values and mission, Schroeder will create and evaluate annual operating plans and budgets, manage compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, serve as a liaison between the organization and the community, and develop future leadership within the organization.

“Marcia has been a loyal member of The Ambassador family for thirty years and I am thrilled to have her leading our organization during one of the most difficult and trying times that the health care industry has ever seen,” stated Timothy Juilfs, president of The Ambassador Health System.

Throughout her tenure with The Ambassador Health System, Schroeder has served as chief operating officer, chief financial officer, director of accounting processes, and director of financial management and insurance.

“I am honored to continue to serve a family owned organization that truly cares for its patients, their families, and our hard-working associates,” stated Schroeder. “The Ambassador Health System has a reputation for compassionate care delivered in an innovative and forward thinking environment. My role will continue to support our organization’s mission and goals.”

With over three decades experience, The Ambassador Health System continues to provide a unique continuum of care. After a surgery or illness, adults receive in-patient transitional rehabilitation from our highly qualified therapy and nursing teams. This in-patient recovery process allows individuals to regain their strength and independence, enabling a safe transition home. The Ambassador’s short term transitional care units are available in Lincoln, Nebraska City, Omaha, and Sidney, Iowa.

In addition, active seniors looking for independent or assisting living options, adults in need of pulmonary and ventilator services, and parents of small children looking for advanced pediatric specialty care will find their unique health care needs met within the walls of The Ambassador Health System.
