HIRE Conference Regular Looking Forward to 4th Annual Event

Colin Hayworth is a veteran of the Chamber’s annual HIRE Conference. On August 8, he’ll make it four-for-four.

“I never leave disappointed,” he says.

Colin serves as Talent Acquisition Manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska. He says he was drawn to talent acquisition after working in temporary staffing for a couple of years after college.

“I noticed the importance of finding the right people and how important hiring decisions are for corporate success,” he says. “For recruiters, there is no better feeling than positively impacting someone by connecting them to a new role that improves their life in some way.”

At this year’s 4th annual HIRE Conference, Colin and fellow Talent Acquisition and HR professionals will come together to share information and best practices, and gain new insight into the latest recruiting technologies, tools and methods.

“I am reinvigorated by conferences in general and reminded of how important effective talent acquisition is in the business world. Attending a local event like the HIRE Conference takes that feeling one step further,” Colin says.

“Networking with other professionals that share the same challenges as we do helps me reset and reminds me that we are on the right track.”

In keeping with this year’s theme – Better, Faster, Smarter! Recruiting Beyond 2020. –  keynote speakers Tricia Tamkin and Jason Thibeault of Moore eSSentials will empower attendees to:

  • Improve your online and local reputation
  • Become a truly employee-focused organization
  • Revolutionize the way your employees talk about you
  • Increase the number of qualified candidates wanting to work for you

A variety of breakout sessions are also scheduled, including:

  • Supercharge Relationships with Hiring Managers
  • Be a Talent Yeti
  • LinkedIn: Your digital platform for creating a talent brand and finding top talent

“This conference reminds local recruiting professionals that we not only help our companies fill current and future positions, but also help the economy of our city and state and play a critical role in Omaha’s long-term plans,” Colin says.
