The temperature is not the only thing soaring – you, Chamber members, are set for a six-month birthday bash ready to raise the roof with regional revelry: 125 years of inventing the future, and everyone’s invited to our June 5 anniversary kickoff.
Here’s the scoop: We’ve got a lot to celebrate, and even if the sun weren’t shining, we’d all be warmed by the remarkable spirit of your good will. Holy community engagement!
With projects continuing to pour in, it’s no wonder Thrillist named Omaha the No. 20 “best city for job seekers right now,” and Nebraska grabbed the No. 8 spot for “millennials, where life is affordable and jobs are plentiful.” Verve? Yeah. We got that (and, we’ve also got Verve’s cousins, Gusto and Charisma).
Add to this scrapbook of success – the release of the annual Barometer report, The Startup Collaborative’s fantastic funding announcement and a remarkable round of Business Excellence Awards, and it’s easy to see if engagement were an element, you would be as essential as oxygen. You invent. You innovate. You problem-solve and create, breathing life into ideas and threading inspiration into proposals that propel our collective community ever forward.
Case in point: Nebraska’s economy was recently ranked No. 8 in the U.S. by Business Insider, while Iowa grabbed the No. 1 spot for opportunity. Three cheers for two great states!
