Bravium and the Greater Omaha Chamber Partner for Leadership Development & Team Alignment
Great leaders aren’t built alone.
That’s why partnerships between the Greater Omaha Chamber and local businesses are so important, especially when it comes to developing the leaders who will grow and shape Omaha.
Bravium, an Omaha-based leadership firm, develops creative workshops to align teams in strategy and planning, team alignment, and innovation. They’ve partnered with the Chamber for multiple events and workshops like Leadership Omaha. Their mission is to help individuals and local businesses challenge and grow in their thinking, inspiring transformation.
Nicole Bianchi and Jeff Shannon, both heavily involved in the Omaha community, joined efforts to launch Bravium, and since 2017 have worked with over dozens of clients, ranging from non-profit organizations to Fortune 500 companies.
Through work with the Chamber, Bravium has shared their expertise with Omaha businesses at various events, like the recent Make / Happen conference. The conference encouraged people to grow their “big ideas” and challenged people to get out of their comfort zones. One of Bravium’s mottos is to “get comfortable with being uncomfortable”. This thinking fit right in at that event where Bravium led a breakout session for attendees.
Bravium also leads the Chamber kickoff for Leadership Omaha each year, giving the participants a glimpse of what’s ahead in the year-long program. Leadership Omaha was launched in 1978 to develop effective leaders focused on strengthening and transforming the community. Each class is a diverse group of group 45 to 49 participants who reflect the Omaha community. The Leadership Omaha curriculum focuses on personal development, community awareness, and identifying leadership styles—all goals that Bravium supports and upholds in their kickoff and in their work. Nicole Bianchi, a partner at Bravium commented on the retreat saying “We have designed a unique experience which enables participants to quickly immerse themselves in the program resulting in strong cohesion and momentum for their Leadership Omaha journey”
Finally, Bravium brought it all home by facilitating an all-employee team alignment workshop at the new Greater Omaha Chamber home this summer. The workshop was designed to bring increased efficiency, creativity, and collaboration to the team.
But the biggest difference maker in a partnership like this is not the Chamber or an innovative company like Bravium. It’s the individuals and businesses of Omaha. Without a strong foundation of people who want to grow and develop as leaders or companies who are willing to invest in their leaders and teams, programs like Leadership Omaha and firms like Bravium would not exist.
Jeff Shannon, one of the partners at Bravium, commented on the people of Omaha and their relationship with the Chamber. He says:
“We love doing business in Omaha. The community is top notch—home to hard-working people who are as innovative as they are gracious. There are a number of world-class businesses located right here in our city and we feel it’s due to the effort from organizations like the Chamber who bring people, talent, and resources together.”
Both Bravium and the Greater Omaha Chamber are focused on building leaders and developing great thinkers. It’s an ongoing reminder that we’re stronger together than on our own.
