FiberFirst: Connecting Communities with Innovation, Customer-Centric Service and a Commitment to Growth

FiberFirst saw a need for internet access in underserved parts of Omaha.

Now the internet service provider brings fast, reliable internet access as well as expanded choice to people in North Omaha, who benefit from faster speeds, reliability, better internet speeds and competitive pricing.

“We’re here to give customers options where they may not have had options before,” said Rachel Larson, community brand manager with FiberFirst.

FiberFirst’s plans start at $30/month for 300 Mbps, with higher speeds at competitive rates.

FiberFirst is an internet service provider that serves fiber optic internet access to underserved areas, so far with services in Arizona and Omaha. FiberFirst was created by Ubiquity, an infrastructure company that builds fiber networks. Ubiquity lays the groundwork, and FiberFirst markets and sells internet services.

“FiberFirst was birthed out of Ubiquity… We’re the marketing, customer service, and community involvement side of the company,” Larson said.

FiberFirst is also committed to customer satisfaction, and the company has expanded its customer service to be able to help customers.

“We are a new company, and there have been some growing pains,” Larson said, “but we are transparent and always work to make things right.”

FiberFirst has worked aggressively to combat the reputation of ISPs having poor customer service. If they put customers first, revenue will follow, Larson said.

That approach has paid off.

FiberFirst has great brand recognition, Larson said, customers are excited when they expand to a new location.

“We’ve gotten a ton of customers signed up as soon as we get the green light that their area is ready to go,” she said. “We have a lot of people running to sign up.”

In addition to serving residential and business customers in North Omaha, FiberFirst also aims to be involved in the community.

Larson said the company’s philosophy is to “get as involved as you possibly can and invest back into the community. Being part of the community is extremely important when you’re a new business, and people respond to that… It builds trust and loyalty from your customers.”

FiberFirst also works with the North Omaha Commercial Club and the Greater Omaha Chamber, which has been extremely helpful in networking with other businesses and putting on events and conferences attended by FiberFirst staff.

“I think being part of the community is extremely important when you’re a new business,” Larson said, adding that she hopes they can continue to connect with more North Omaha businesses through the Chamber.

“It’s been really awesome to work with North Omaha,” Larson said.
