Culture changers, diversity practitioners, catalysts of big ideas – they’ve all been tapped to help stir things up at the Greater Omaha Chamber’s inaugural Make / Happen event.

More than a conference for learning and mingling, Make / Happen is a daylong opportunity for “doers” to engage, launch into deeper fulfillment of their purpose and create real plans of action.

“Make/Happen is designed to inspire the innovators in our community. As a CEO, I’d want my staff to leave with new found focus, energy and optimism about their plan to make a difference in their lives or our business or in Omaha,” said David G. Brown, Chamber president and CEO.

What participants choose to ‘make happen’ is entirely up to them.

“Communication, awareness, leadership and motivation are all areas of focus throughout the Chamber’s leadership development programs. I’m looking forward to Make/Happen, as we build on that foundation. We’ll have the chance to make new connections, meet innovative thought leaders, and leave motivated to make change in ourselves and in the community,” said Lynda Shafer, the Chamber’s manager of leadership development.
