Young Professionals Choice Award

What is the goal?
To recognize organizations that excel in their efforts to attract, retain and develop young professionals in the Greater Omaha community.

Who can nominate?
Each July, any young professional can submit a nomination form for their organization.

What is the selection process?
Once a company is nominated they will receive an application packet to complete and return. This information will be reviewed by the Young Professionals Choice Awards Selection Committee. The Choice Award recipient will be announced at the 2009 Young Professionals Summit.

What criteria will the YPC be looking for in these organizations?
In order to attract, retain and develop young professionals, there are several areas that have been identified:

Opportunities for growth
Does the organization provide various ways for young professionals to excel, stretch and develop in their careers?

Inclusiveness
Is the organization open to new ideas and diverse opinions - no matter where they come from?

Work-life balance
Do young professionals in the organization have the opportunity to juggle work and life demands in a way that is relevant to the individual?

Organizational leadership
Do young professionals in the organization value, trust and have belief in the leadership of the organization?

Work environment and culture
Do young professionals look forward to coming to work each day because the culture or environment is inviting and enjoyable?
