Strong Partners, Strong Future

One of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce’s greatest partners is the City of Omaha. Working closely with Mayor Mike Fahey’s office, city planning and the city council, the Chamber is able to function as the economic development leader of the city. Through this partnership, the Chamber and the city maintain close relations in all aspects of economic development, including the attraction and retention of businesses and the development of key areas of the city.As part of the shared vision for continued growth, Mayor Mike Fahey and other key city officials work closely with the Chamber, promoting the city’s assets to companies who are looking to expand their operations here. Likewise, the Chamber works hand-in-hand with the city on its own initiatives for economic development. Through the Omaha Development Foundation, the Chamber makes financial resources available to commission studies, purchase land and develop properties that help to enhance the city’s attractiveness to businesses and improve employment and economic opportunities for area residents.
