Attracting New National Chains to Omaha
The Greater Omaha Chamber's economic development team recently attended the Global Retail Real Estate Convention in Las Vegas, a trip aimed at attracting a new crop of national retailers to the metropolitan area.
"We reached out, made contacts and set up a number of appointments with national retailers to talk about opportunities in the Omaha market," said Winsley Durand, the Chamber's director of minority economic development and retail attraction.
The Chamber's booth at ReCon featured a video highlighting some of the strengths of Greater Omaha as well as several representative major retail areas from across the metro.
