Discovering Cass County

Cass County Nebraska Economic Development Council recently held their Discover Cass County Area Site Development Tour.  The event was designed to expose the Greater Omaha real estate, land developer, engineering and financial professionals to “development opportunities” in Plattsmouth and Louisville.  Approximately 50 people participated in the tour that showcased land sites available for purchase and building. 

“The proximity of Cass County to both Omaha and Lincoln makes it an ideal location for business growth,” explained John Yochum, CCNEDC executive director. “We see expanding companies—both local and new to the area—seriously review our sites as they consider their building needs.

Participants were shown and briefed on the following sites in the Plattsmouth area: Osage Ranch Plaza, Wiles Crossing, Wiles Sports Complex, Wiles Industrial Park, Fourmile Industrial Park, Plattsmouth Plaza development, and Hwy 66 Technology Park. The two sites in Louisville were: Louisville South development and the Louisville Walnut Street land. 

Ending the tour with a reception at Cass County Bank, in downtown Plattsmouth, provided an opportunity to show off the recently completed $5.8 million Plattsmouth Main Street redevelopment.

One of the strengths of the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership is the ability to seamlessly market a four county area to business clients.
